As Director of the United States Department of Energy's (DOE) Midwest Regional Office from 1996 to 2000, Mr. Jensen was an early and vital supporter of the concept of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) and the need for a regional coordination on energy issues. He invested a significant amount of time to laying the foundation for MEEA and securing funding for the organization. After his transition from DOE to ICF Consulting, Mr. Jensen continued to play an active role and to bring into the MEEA fold additional participants. His commitment, dedication and vision were critical to the early viability of regional energy efficiency planning and market transformation. Currently, as Director of ICF Consulting's San Francisco office, Mr. Jensen oversees several energy efficiency program evaluations, an advanced technical assessment of DSM potential, and serves as officer-in-charge of the Energy Action 2002-2003 program. He also continues to work closely on Midwest energy efficiency projects and has more than 20 years of experience in energy efficiency program analysis, design, management and evaluation. In addition to his senior management role as director of the US DOE's Chicago Regional Office, Mr. Jensen managed Illinois's integrated resource planning program and was a leading staff member for the US DOE's Assistant Secretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
